Anytime Fitness Success Story - Jody!

JODY’S SUCCESS STORY!


I decided to start the body challenge with a few goals in mind. One was to lose weight (8lb) and tone my body and the other one was to feel more energized in winter.  I am still working on my goal and am getting closer to it by eating better meals, drinking more water instead of juice or pop, eating more fruits and vegetables, and exercising 3-5 times per week.

Using Anytime Health is a HUGE help when I am planning my meals because it tells me how many calories, grams of fat, sodium, carbohydrates, and sugar is in each meal. It also tells me how many calories I can consume per day and how many calories I need to burn per day in order for me to reach my goal.  I can also plan my workout routine in it as well. 

When I started the body challenge I signed up for 6 personal training classes.  At first I was nervous because I thought that I was a pretty uncoordinated person. With each trained workout I felt more confident, balanced, and encouraged to reach my goal. (thanks Heith) I never thought that I would be excited to work out and now I am. I LOVE how I feel after a good workout. Before the challenge, it so hard to get to the gym because I didn't want to. Now 9 weeks into the body challenge I look forward to working out and I feel more energized.  I also see and feel the changes. I look more toned and my clothes are bit looser. It is a good feeling and the body challenge was the push that I needed. I was also a casual smoker before I started the challenge. I no longer feel the need for a cigarette after work because I want and need the energy for the gym to help my body get into better shape. 

If I could give advice to others it is to start with a small goal and when you reach it, set another. It will be easier to not feel defeated or overwhelmed. If I wrote out all of the things that I needed to do to get into better shape, I would have felt overwhelmed. Instead I started with one small goal such as drinking eight 8oz glasses of water per day. I then gradually added other goals in.

I am so glad that Anytime fitness offered this body challenge and I am so glad that I signed up. I am in all a happier, fit, and energized person.
